April arrives on Wednesday

Date: 30th Mar 2020 @ 2:38pm

Hi Year One,

We have all been thinking about you and we know you will be trying your best at home.

Well done to everyone who completed the counting task on My Maths. Can you count forwards and then backwards in multiples of 2's,10's and 5's?

Now there are some new challenges set for you on My Maths. Try your best with all the activities on Time.

We have missed our Spring Walk in our school grounds with all of you.

Can you keep a daily record of the weather and what you see out of your window? Perhaps you can go on a Spring Walk in your local area with your grown up. We've been watching the birds returning to gardens, building nests and starting to care for their babies.  Try to make a chart or keep a diary to record your observations during April. We look forward to seeing your Spring observations when we return to school.

It would be lovely if you could  let us know what signs of new life you have seen.

Keep safe and have fun learning with your family.

I have been on a Spring walk and Mummy did a hunt and a colour hunt challenge of nature too. We made a bird feeder out of a milk carton, we have been watching the birds that have been to it. I miss school lots and my teachers and friends. Stay safe and take care. Xx

Wow its so lovely to hear about your Spring walk and we wish we all could have joined in with your nature
challenges. The bird feeder is a super idea. Can you keep a record of which birds you see? We miss seeing you and all of your Year 1 friends but know you will be trying your very best. Keep smiling and keep safe
