Safeguarding

St Julie Catholic Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and visitors to share this commitment. 


Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone and concerns must always be reported.


The designated teacher for Safeguarding and Child Protection is Anne Hodgson, the Headteacher.


The Deputy Safeguarding Lead is Helen Slocombe, the Deputy Headteacher. The Pastoral Lead, Jane Ashcroft, is also fully trained in Safeguarding and Child Protection.


The School Governor responsible for Child Protection and Safeguarding is Teresa Sims, the Chair of Governors. Her contact details are available via the school office if you feel that you have concerns that cannot be dealt with by the designated staff at the school.


All staff receive regular training in Safeguarding and Child Protection.

At any point anyone can report a concern they have about a child to St.Helens Contact Centre on 01744 676600 or in the case of an emergency outside normal office hours (after 5pm) you can contact the Emergency Duty Team on 0345 050 0148
