Welcome back Year3!

Date: 22nd Apr 2020 @ 12:11pm

Good afternoon Year 3!

I hope that you have all had a wonderful break over Easter; spent as much time outside as possible in the sun and eaten as much chocolate as you can hehe

Don't forget to keep writing on here to tell me what work you have been up to. Just for now use your first name so I know who I am talking to! Check our home learning tab to find my weekly overview. And click on the subject tabs (eg. Maths, English...) for website ideas. There is SOOOOOO much that you could be doing! :)

Most of all help your parents as much as you can doing little jobs like making your bed, putting your dishes away and doing as you are asked.

Miss you all lots cheeky

Hi Miss Pratt!
I have eaten lots and lots of chocolate and still have lots left!
I have been making my bed every morning (I promise 😝)
I have a desk set up next to mummy’s for me to do my school work on and I’m trying my best with all my work.
I miss school, you and my friends.
Lots of love Grace x
P.S I can’t wait to get back to school!

Hi Grace!
I am SO happy to hear from you :) I will nip round to pick up some chocolate as I have none left.
Hehe I will be checking about the bed making skills.
How lucky and grown up are you having your own desk, I am very jealous. If you need any help with anything just ask on here. I am working hard too, have a look at our science and geography knowledge organisers and see what you think.
I miss you all so much too.
Sending big virtual hugs to you! x x

Hi miss Pratt!
I have done lots of work out of my folder and on the internet.
Tomorrow I am going on my mums laptop to do some fun math games.
I’ve been helping my parents with the cooking, we made scones and rice crispy cakes.
I go on my bike every day up to the farm and feed them all cut up grapes 🍇
Miss you and all of my friends.

If you find any really good maths sites let me know and I can share them on the maths tab. Don't forget the TTRockstars battle, I think we are winning at the moment hehe.
How good are you helping with the cooking, I love rice crispy cakes.
I am glad you are getting out of the house each day, the weather has been beautiful!
I am missing Year 3 SO much, it's very sad not seeing your smiley faces every day. Please keep in touch on here!

Thank you for your super message, it has made me smile. I am missing everyone too and cannot wait until everything is safe and we can be back at school.
It sounds like you have been amazingly busy Isabella.
You are very lucky to have a trampoline and making into a bed sounds perfect! I love looking at the stars and have an APP on my phone to show me the different one. I did have a look for the satellites but couldn't see them however I did see Venus, it is so bright.
I can see you've been working hard on TTRockstars for us as always!
Growing fruit and vegetables is a very good idea because then you get to eat them hehe I have a strawberry plant in my garden and cannot wait for some strawberries and cream in summer.
What have you been watching on Netflix and Disney? I finally watched Toy Story 4 last week and really enjoyed it.
I'm glad that your mum is making learning fun, it is very strange and a different way of learning but we will all get through it together (but apart!) Keep checking the home learning and other tabs. If there is anything you need help with, send me a message.
Oh, I hope I get to see your dance, it would be nice if your mum could video it and email it to me! :)
Say hello to everyone at home. Sending you a big hug x x

Oh Molly!
Thank you for your lovely message. I had a very quiet but nice Easter, I hope you and your family did too?
I'm glad you are working hard, using your home learning pack and the weekly plan, you are a super star. I know it is tricky as everybody is trying to do their own work AND help each other. If there is anything you are particularly stuck on, have a try but do not worry about it too much. You could always pop on here and send me a message! If there is anything else you want to go on too, that is fine as long as you are doing some learning each day. and also having a bit of fun and relaxing.
I am glad you and your family are all safe at home and you have been washing your hands. I cannot wait to see your lovely smiley face!
Big hugs x x

Hello Charlotte,
I am so glad that you have had a look at some of the websites, which ones have you been using? The guardians game looks very good, learning whilst having fun! How are you getting on with the spellings? Keep going back over old ones as well when you get chance.
I'm glad you liked learning about the pyramids, I love learning about Egypt, I find out new information all the time. Let me know what you think about this weeks work.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Thursday!!! I saw it on the parent bulletin and said a little happy birthday to you. I hope you had a lovely day, albeit slightly different. It's one you won't forget. As long as you had a birthday cake and spent it with some family I bet it was brilliant.

Hi Miss Pratt!
I have been missing you and my friends so much. I have been doing home learning everyday. We have two computers but my mum works at one of them so me and Shay share the other one and take it in turns between computer tasks and written tasks. I have been learning to cook and I have made the chilli con carne, spaghetti bolognese, roast dinners, salads and I have been baking.
My home learning goes like this each day:
9.00-9.30 Reading (I am reading the Twits)
9.30-10.30 English and I do lots of different activities like BBC Bitesize, writing stories, descriptive writing, Comprehension tasks, fact finding and I have been doing sheets on Spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Break
11.00-12 Maths and I do TT Rockstars, BBC Bitesize games like Guardians: defenders of mathematica, Times table book, and my mum has bought me some apps for my phone to do maths.
Lunch
1.00-1.30 other topics such as Art, documentaries, RE, History, Science (I drew a daffodil and all its parts)
The rest of the day is PE and relaxation.
bye

How are you and Shay? Hope you are well.
It is SO lovely to get your message.I am missing that lovely smile so much as are the ladies in the office when you take the tin through.
It is hard having to share the computer but I am sure you are doing and you are super sharers.
Wow! I am very very impressed with you learning to cook and baking too, how grown up! Lots of deliciousness for you all to share, chilli is one of my favourite meals. I have been practicing my cooking too, I made chicken tikka and vegetable skewers last night.
That sounds like a great and balanced timetable, well done.
What do you think of the Twits? Do you remember Mrs Tootill dressing up and Mrs Twit for World Book Day?
Classrooms Secrets Kids is quite good if you need anything else to stretch that amazing brain :) Look out for a new TTRockstars battle starting soon- Shay too. Uh oh!
Well done for everything you are doing. Come back and tell me more soon pleeeeeeease.

Miss you lots x x
