Homework

All home work will be set and monitored on teams for the foreseeable future. I know technology can be a problem, if you need help please let me know.

It is important that parents/carers help to ensure completion of home learning tasks and preparation for weekly tests.

Reading

The children have been given a new reading record which is to be kept in their book bags at all times. Please date it and sign it each day. I will check these once a week.

The children are all at different stages in their reading development, some requiring an adult to hear them read and support them. Other, more confident and fluent readers, will benefit from adult questioning/ discussion of their book, supporting their comprehension skills. Upon their return to school, books will be quarantined for 3 days in class before returning them to the general class books.

I will update bands as we hear the children read in class.

Spelling

Children will receive 10 words to practise at home each week for a spelling test on the following Friday. Please learn these words at home each week. 

English- Comprehension and writing

There will be a comprehension and writing task set on alternate Friday's, due for the following Wednesday.

Maths

I have sent out MyMaths and TTRockstars passwords, if you need these again please email school.

TTRockstars can be accessed at any time for children to earn coins. Look out for Battles starting, every child is expected to take part and play for their Year 4 team!
